Employee Spotlight: Sean Kennedy

Collage of Sean Kennedy, a smiling man with short brown hair and a trimmed beard, shown in various personal and professional moments including hiking, spending time with family, and posing with his partner and child. Text reads “Employee Spotlight: Sean Kennedy, Project Deployment Specialist” with the Midnight Blue Technology Services logo.

Each month, we highlight a team member whose interests, experiences, and perspective help shape the culture at Midnight Blue. This month, we’re excited to feature Sean Kennedy, whose curiosity, creativity, and love of exploration show up both in and out of the office.

Getting to Know Sean

Outside of work, Sean is happiest when he’s outdoors or immersed in music. He’s an avid hiker who finds inspiration in nature, especially in national parks, and counts Colorado Springs and Los Angeles/Orange County among his favorite places to spend time. If he could travel anywhere in the world, Iceland would be at the top of his list.

When he’s not exploring the outdoors, Sean enjoys disc golf, a hobby that combines friendly competition with fresh air. Music is another big part of his life. He plays the bass guitar, collects vinyl records, and is always searching for new bands and albums. While his taste spans many genres, he’s especially drawn to folk and indie rock.

Favorites & Fun Facts

  • Favorite food: Thai food
  • Favorite restaurant: Le Thai Cafe
  • Most-watched movie: Office Space
  • Go-to comfort binge: Psych
  • First concert: Switchfoot

As a kid, Sean had a surprisingly specific career goal: becoming a USPS mail carrier. His fascination with mail and daily routines hinted early on at his appreciation for consistency and connection.

Taking Risks & Looking Ahead

The biggest risk Sean has taken was a personal one, getting married at a young age. Looking back, it’s a decision he considers one of the best he’s ever made, reinforcing his belief that the most meaningful choices often require the greatest leaps of faith.

Although he hasn’t won a contest yet, he remains optimistic that “maybe someday” will turn into a win.

Sean’s story is one of curiosity, balance, and thoughtful risk-taking. Whether he’s exploring new trails, discovering new music, or bringing his perspective to the team, he approaches everything with intention and enthusiasm. We’re grateful to have Sean as part of the Midnight Blue team and appreciate the creativity, curiosity, and authenticity he brings to our company every day.
